ok i have a 1991 lt250r with boysen rad valve, fully ported, head cut and rechambered, 210 p.s.i, paul tuner pipe, and a 38mm mukuni witch is off a quadzilla. i need to get the jetting right i just got the 38mm carb and have done the following new needle and seat 250 main 17.5 piolet is this close??????? stock zilla needle i will fire bog bad and foul the plug in like 2 min rode it once boged bad then cleared up and ran great on top but i need it to run good down low to....oh and by the way its a flat side carb i think its a tm...and i run 40-1 klots r-50 with 94 sunaco

let me ask this, the zilla it came off of had 22.5 piolet 380 main. i put the carb on and tried to start it no start, looked at plug way wet..so i took it off and put a 17.5 piolet 250 main and it started!! so i think im on the right track???bogs and stumbles but it ran!

and it was only started twice and one quick trip down the street 1/4 mile. this moter is not a new rebuild iv been on this bore for 6 months and it ran strong before i pulled the 34 off so its just jetting i think???? still at 210 p.s.i. and no air leak i made a pressure tester for the 250. and i run a br8es nkg plug.

new floats and new needle and seat and the clip is on the 4th from bottom one shy of dead lean


im thinking needle????it has a 6dk3-3 in it im thinking a 6dj30 or 6dh8 idont know much about the numbers just going off a list of needles i can get from cyclewareables.com

raise the clip up to lean it down makes it richer if it stublesa on low idot take off it is rich if lean it will want to rev
