The $#!! has hit the fan with the dealer
#1
I used to think that my dealer was a good one, until this happened. About 5 months ago, my brother and I purchased 2 Brute Force 750's, and my dad purchased a Brute Force 650 from the same dealer. About 2 months ago, my dad recieved the recall notice in the mail for the steering nuckles on his Brute. As everyone knows, they where on backorder forever but after waiting on a call from my dealer for a month I finally called them and they said that they had a kit in for it. When I got some time a week later I took my dads Brute in to get the recall. It is an hour drive to the dealer just for a reference. I called the next morning to see when it was going to be done, and they told me that they where out of kits and wherent expecting any until May. Pissed off, I drove back to the dealer to get the Brute back. 20 mins after leaving the dealer with the brute back in tow, I was heading down the interstate, looked in my rearview mirror, and noticed the seat fly off at 70mph. After hitting the van behind me and getting run over by a semi, the seat was in about 500 pieces. About to explode, I turned around an headed back to the dealer. I walked into the service room and dropped what was left of the seat on the floor and said we had a problem. Now previous to this I had told my dealer to check out a few things such as idle rpms, and the choke cable due to taking forever for startups, so I would think that they would have had the seat off. But, you guessed it, they said that they had never taken the seat off, and that they werent responsible for it. After carfeul language deliberation, I let the dealer know that it was damn ironic that it had made the trip there for an hour, for nothing, but didnt seem to be able to make it home with the seat on after they had messed with it. They at first told me that they would find a way to warranty the seat, but later that afternoon they called my dad and said that they could give him the seat at cost and that was all they could do. My dad gratefully pointed out that my family had recently spent over $18,000 there and if they couldnt take care of a $140 dollar seat then we where going to have problems. AS of last week, the seat was on order and supposed to be in any time. I called today, and they said that kawi was going to ship the seat on April 12th, so they would probably have it ready on the 15th. So needless to say, after a trip that I shouldnt have made to the dealer in the first place, cost my dad his machine for the month, hoping to get it back on April 15th, without the recall done yet, and possibly having to pay for the seat. If anyone has some C4 for sale, I might be interested.

Ha wait till the GM up there threatens to punch in F-ing face then you have a problem LOL trust me I know from experience. Kawasaki dealers from what I tell all pretty well suck. I have found one or two good ones out of prolly ten I a have tried. I saw a post on the V-force and 38% of the people surveyed said dealer satasifaction was poor. Only 37% licked their dealer. That is really pathetic in my mind I wish the ol big wheels at Kawi would take note of this. Just my .02.

Update:: I finally made a call to the higher ups, and actually the GM was just the opposite. After explaining to him what my family had invested in the past few months, he agreed to take a seat off of one of the Brutes that he had on the sale floor. I was shocked. He said that he agreed with everything that I said, and he had a seat for me. I am going to get it this weekend. I should have delt with the GM from the start, that was my mistake. Now I am just waiting on the recall parts, does anyone have any idea on when Kawasaki will send out some more kits??
