What kind of shock should i buy for my 400ex!

Default What kind of shock should i buy for my 400ex!

HEy i was wondering if i should change my stock shock on the rear of my 400ex i just had picked it up and im planing to do some mx racing and woods pretty much every thing.what do you recomend to get or should i have it rebuilded or what lmk.and if you guys got shocks for sale lmk cause im trying to upgrade it. thanks

Alot depends on ur riding style. I would check out elka shocks if ya got the money. But most times if you can afford elka shocks all round ur 400....u should prob trade up to a TRX450ER! Just my 2 cents...

There are a dozen different direction you can go depending on what you want to spend and what you expect it to do. IMO its worth it to have Works Performance do a heart transplant, for just $175. Then they make all the adjustments to your weight and riding style so there is no guesswork on your part. My 450 shocks are there right now. The fronts are getting triple rate springs and heart transplants, the rear is getting just a heart transplant. Total cost for all $589 + shipping and tax.
If this doesn't do it for you, you can look into the Elkas or any of the other choices in replacement shocks. There are plenty of choices out there.
