Default Washing your quad

Is there anything to be cautious of on the new V2's when washing them? And can they be pressure washed in a regular car wash, with the soapy water? Thanks for any replies

Most machine manuals say "do not". Most people I know do it anyway- never heard of a problem. Just use common sense and keep the nozzle away from u-joints, seals, etc.

i use a pressure washer all the time on mine i blow everything off. the only thing i would say to be cautious of is to make sure you don't hit the decals at an angle. these machines were designed and sealed for water and mud so a quick wash won't affect them. and go ahead and use the soapy water.

your best bet is to go buy a preasure washer at home depot thats about 100 bucks. There only about 1700psi and the psi is adjustable with sprayer so you can use even less pressure on the sensitive areas. the car wash is only 3000 psi and can cause damage to any seals on the atv. its worth the investement that will pay off quickly

As Hoopie says, Home Depot has pressure washers cheap. I bought the a 1300 PSI from them for $49 and it works really well. It has an adjustable nozzle so you can fan out the spray for the decals and seat. I've blwon stickers off and stuck them right back on without any problem.

The little electric 1300 psi ones are the preferred method for cleaning ATVs.

How do you get in the small areas? Like shocks, radiator, and those areas with dried on mud, and dirt that you cant reach?
