Stick Stoppers

I think they are. I belive it really depends on where you and how you ride. If you are a trail rider and in the woods a lot then yes I would invest in them. If you ride in a field then you probley don't need none. They have saved mine a bunch of times. I would invest in some metal ones and ones that you clean easy.

Check these boot guards out, they hinge down so you can hose the junk out of them.

But I like the looks of the Moose CV guards better.

If you are into making your own stuff A arm guards are easy to make. I used diamond plate and a jig saw with a metal cutting blade. They look sweet and protect very well. I am trying right now to get pics on my profile but it says they are to big...so i am working on that..I say stick stoppers are good even if you ride in lite terrain, i mean what the heck..they look cool

I have owned 3 sportsmans and 1 scrambler , i average around 2500 miles a year on my quads . The first 3 i never had any problems with boots , but on my new 800 i ripped 1 front and 1 rear in less than 200 miles. All riding the same way, since i put stickstoppers on i have had no problems and i have since put on another 1300 miles. I would suggest cleaning anything that builds up around the boot out, like mud, snow, and junk or it can tear the boot.
