Default Plans for my new 400EX just went all the heck!!

I was making plans for a 2006 400EX this past few weeks. I have been a couple of times out with my buddies riding and my 300 just won't keep up. I stopped in and looked at a couple of 400's and fell in love with the little black 400EX!! Well, after doing inventory of my other toys and seeing what I could sell on eBay, gunbroker, and ebang I decided things looked pretty good for the new 400EX until yesterday. In the mail I received my new coupon book for the house payment and discovered interest rates have gone up so my freakin' payment went up 100 bucks a month. Well, there was the new 400EX payment shot all to hell!!!! I'll just have to wait now for another opportunity. I am soon to be dropping 2 vehicles from the insurance, well that is when my son gets a job when he gets out of college this spring. That will be about 100 bucks free'd up for toys. I'll just have to sit back and wait now......bummer

Unless you absolutely need that reverse, I would look for a low hour, used 2000-2004 400ex.

I can't seem to figure out why people want to spread themselves so thin like this. When I want something I save money until I have enough to pay for it. The house payment is obviously understandable but if $100 a month was going to make or break me I would rethink my situation.

Like quad2xtreme said, a good used 400EX would work. And they can be had for about half the price or less of new.

The 100 bucks aint gonna break me for the least! It's the idea of it. The ATV is an extra toy and house payments and insurance are a must. The added 100 bucks brings the house to over 1K per month and yes I wish I could have just saved for the house and just paid cash!!!! That would have been real nice!! But NO I live in a real world and house payments and insurance payments come around monthly!!! Toys are just an extra...

Haha, I wish I could afford a 400ex too. I wish I could afford almost any quad, but no dice.

Not only was I making plans for the 400EX but the new '06 FatBoy Harley is going to be sitting in the garage also very soon. Last night while we were in St. Louis watching the Blues play, my buddy had a chance to win a V-Rod HD but the key he picked didn't start it. The guy right behind him had the winning key!! What a bummer!!! Anyway we are still planning a trip to Sturgis SD so I guess we are just going to have to go buy our bikes!! Call it a mid life surge for new toys but it sure is going to be fun. And if I don't have the cash to just go out and pay cash (as stated above) I will make payments monthly. Hell you only live once and you cannot take it with you when you die!!!! Being a survivor I am going to live it up and do it when I can enjoy it!!!! Live life to the fullest!!!! If you wait until you save the cash you may never enjoy it!
