Bruin 350 4x4 vs ?????

Im looking at the smaller atv`s cause of there price im on a budget. Ive been looking at the kawasaki praire 360 wich has more power than the bruin and locking diff but heavier. Also looking at the polaris hawkeye but really at the bruin and praire. I live in an area were i would have to drive 100 or 70 miles for warranty work if needed wich quad would i have less problems with also have more fun with. Does the bruin hold its own lets say against the 400 class ? whats the top speed ? im going to be useing this qaud for hunting, camping , and lots of trail riding. Also i live in the snow how do they do in the snow is a big factor id love to ride out on the meadows around here early in the mourning while the snow in frozen but if it gets soft on the way home will the bruin make it ? thats my biggest fear. So hows the mud and snow. Also does anyone plow snow with there bruin ??? it basically going to be my work horse quad untill i can afford the big bore`s. I heard that they beat you after a couple hours of trail riding ?

I have the plow with my bruin. We get a decent amount of snow in MA every year. It plows the snow just fine. My driveway is only about 4 cars deep and 4 cars wide. It is not a fast quad. I woulndt buy it for speed. It will do fine in the frozen snow and the mud. If you feel slipping or that your about to get stuck just click the 4x4 button. I have only gotten my bruin stuck twice so far. We were looking to get stuck though ;-) It rides plenty fast enough on the trails around here, jumps logs pretty good too. Buy some skid plates and some aftermarket tires and it should go wherever you want it to. I have been on a quite a few rides with people that have 450s and higher and I went everywhere they did. Good quad and affordable.

I'm heavier then that and it rides fine. I have woken up sore after a 5 hour ride. Everyone I rode w/ on the last ride woke up sore. It was a mix of sport and utility quads too. I think if you ride hard for a few hours your going to be sore later no matter what quad your riding. my $.02

Thanks yeah the only quad i ever rode was a yamaha timberwolf 250 2x4 and belive it or not it got around really good i went the a river past the florr boards and mud hills but i can see were 4x4 would beat i woke up sore the next day. Thats how i got intrested in quads never rode one till then always motorcycles. I thought it went pretty good on open road i think 45 how fast do you get your bruin up too ?

well not sure about top speed on flat ground dirt/grass. I was riding next to my brother on hard packed snow and according to his foreman we were going 42. I'm guessing it doesnt go much faster than that. MAYBE 50.

Yeah i was out on open pavement you said your brother has aforeman how does your quad hold up too his. I have another question is liquid cooled better than air and oil or does it mattter are you over heating at all ? never relized the bruin wasent liquid cooled will it be just as reliable ?

It holds up fine with his foreman. We have both gone through the same mud holes and got stuck on the same ones. I'm sure his 100cc would help the foreman go places (mud holes) that the bruin cannot, we just have not found such a place yet. And If it did I dont think that 100 cc would make all that much of a difference with a good set of tires. This is obviosuly a biased opinion. As far as radioator and fan, everything seems fine so far. The fan does come on after I have been riding for a while. The temperature gauge has never lit up though. I cant answer your question about it being as reliable as liquid cooled, this is my first atv. I bet recon99 or others know the answer to that.
