Default raptor won't start wheels lock up

My raptor needed a new timing chain and starter clutch. got the service book and me and my friends fixed it and it ran good for a days. Then it was over heating and then it died on me one day. we found out that the fan was not working. got it fixed and now it wont start. Got a new Stater on the way. Tried to pull start it and the wheels will not turn. I pulled the eye hole to the rotor and can turn the crank over clockwise some but then it stop locks up. But I can turn it back a little the other way. So it seems to lock in a certain position. friends say valves some say starter clutch and some say piston. I don’t want to put the starter on and hurt the new starter.

If u can help i would be thankful justin

It could be many things, 1) tranny, 2) timing chain again, 3) a siezed valve because of you riding it hot. etc...etc.....

Best bet to pull the engine and find out what really happened...Good Luck with it..

I would definatly tear the engine down before I bought a new starter. Chances are you have some pretty major engine damage. Sounds like a valve siezed or broke. Pop of the valve covers and see how much valve clearence you have. I bet you are going to have a lot or not enough on one depending on what happend to the valve. If you have a lot of clearance the valve is stuck down. If you don't have any clearance the big end of the valve has probably broke off.
