Just bought a slightly used but perfect 400ex. Everythings stocked so i was wondering what everyone thought my first mods should be i was thinking of a slip on and new headers. I'll most likely be riding trails and jumping any ideas?

 

get some tire...how much did you get your quad for

 

I would put a K&N air filter,pipe and jet kit. That would living it up alot.

 

Aftermarket swing arm skidplate.

 

What everyone else said also new bars.They made it alot more comfortable to ride

 

Those are all good suggestions. Since you say you will be jumping it, you might want to consider upgrading the front shocks.

 

Leave it stock is the best way to go..quiet and dependable..

 

yeah put some tires and rims on it. also a slip on and bars. the stock bars bend realy easly and if you roll it once they will be shot.

 

#1 recommendation is nerf bars

Install a White Brothers PowerFilter, get a new airbox lid from EHS Racing, and rejet with a Dynojet. You will gain a few hp and never have a starting problem even in extremely cold conditions.
