very new to atvs first one can anyone help. i'm looking at a honda rincon and the bomb. outlander650 how does the bomb. hold up down the road,and what are the pros and cons.thank you kindly

 

The rincon is a good trail bike but not so good work horse. i don't know anything about the outlander 650 but i know that outlanders are a great atv.

 

The Outlander will give you more power and has a low gear along with visco-loc 4WD. The shifter can be a little sticky, sometimes you have to rock it. It has an inline front brake disc and single lever braking which works pretty well IMO.

The Rincon has the option of fully(automotive style) auto. or 3 speed electric shift and is probably a little more comfortable. 675 vs 650 but the Rotax is a V-twin and both are EFI.

I'd probably go with the Outlander.

 

I have had the Outy 800 std model for about 6 months now and just added a MAX 800 yesterday to the collection.
The Outy 800 is the best machine I have ever been on. I can't help but think that the 650 is also a top notch quad. If I understand the 650 correctly its just the same quad as the 800 except they ussed 2 325cc heads instead of 2 400cc heads and steel wheels instead of alluminum. Both wheels are kinda ugly, but now days it seems most guys are tossing the factory rims and slapping on cool looking aftermarket rims anyway. There is a pretty large gap in the comparison of the 2 as far as power goes from what I have read the Outy 650 runs as strong as most 700cc machines and the Honda 680 is still about the weekest in its class as far as power. The Outy is sure to be the better of the 2 when it comes to power.
