Calling for HIGHTOWER!!!
#1
Hey I know Hightower is the man with the TM45's. So, hopefully hightower is reading this.....I just received my brand new TM45 from ondunes.com. I was under the impression that the carb would be tuned for my DS upon ordering, but I guess they only do that for the Lectrons. So, I wasn't planning for a carb puzzle. Here is what I know....It is brand new and they already added the pumper accessory. So here is my setup:
2000 DS650 (obviously)
UniTwin air filter
Portmatched intake for a TM45
Big Gun Rev Box
HPR Open End Cap
Elevation: 1000-3000' ASL
Location: East Coast
I do not know if the jet that comes in the TM45 is the right one to use or not, please help I know nothing about tuning carbs and I thought it was going to be done for me upon arrival!!! WHAT DO I DO TO GET IT RUNNING PERFECT???

I've read some of the threads on all the stuff he does to the TM45. My suggestion is to cut him a break (so he doesn't have to type a book) and do a search for TM45 with Hightower as the author. You should be able to find everything. Good luck!

Okay I did a search and found lots of useful info, but I was wondering if anyone can help in selection of jets to start out with. I have no idea what jets are in it now or what squirter. I have a ported intake, open air box, HRP end cap and big gun rev box. What jets and squirter should I order from RWR??? Please Help

#50 pump nozzle and probably a 155 main and the clip on the needle moved to the second from the top notch so the needle moves down. Clip moves up so the needle moves down.
Make sure that the pump nozzle is squirting on the needle. When I got mine it was pointed of to the side.

Okay, I installed the pump accessory. I switched out the pilot jet from a #40 to a #25 which came in the kit. Also, I switched out the squirter #70 to a #50 which also came with the kit. I only got (1) Main Jet which is a #150. Is this going to work out ok??
