Smaller front sprocket = more top speed?

I run a Scrambler and was just wondering how much top speed does dropping a tooth or two on the front sprocket usually add to a quad? Any make or model will do. Just looking for some comparisons.

Smaller front will reduce speed and give more power. Larger front will increase top speed and lower power.

Oops...got that mixed up, eh!

Can adding a couple teeth get me 5 or more mph on top?

I would add one tooth to the front and take two from the rear.

it might, i ran 15/36 on my 400ex, got crappie accelaration, but lots of top end

I just don't want to sacrifice performance "here" to put it "there"... I just need a little boost without killing the rest of the powerband...
