Default Governor on a 05 TB250?

Hello, I purchased a TB250 for my son and would like to thorttle it back some until his mother is confident he is proficient on it. It is either that or purchase a smaller quad.

Is there a way to govern this to control the speed similar to the throttle screw settings on the youth type quads?

Thanks.

You could try putting alot of slack in the cable either on the thumb end or on the carb end. Just loosen the jam nut & thread the cable in until desired results are found.

Hi Catman,

Thank you for the reply. I like your profile ICON as I work for Caterpillar here in Peoria! I pretty much have yellow blood. The track type tractor plant is right across the street from my office and they are awesome machines! What is your connection to Cat.

Thanks again and ride safe. Let me know if you want any Cat stuff and I can probably make it happen.

My wife just got back from the Cat factory on Wed. She's the sales coordinater for Nebraska machinery. She also bleeds yellow.
