Default Flat sand drag racing...gearing?

No hill climbers...I'm curious what any of you flat sand draggers think I should run as far as gearing. I want a second gear start and will be running basically an end cap and a Lectron 46HV with 22" 8 paddle Haulers. My choices are 14/40, 15/40 or stock 16/40? I know I can easily pull a 2nd gear start with 14/40, but would it be better to run the 16/40 if I can pull it off? Would I have better traction and less wheel spin with the 16?? Any advice..this is at Silver Lake flat sand drag area.

I would guess the 15/40 will get you your best shot out of the hole. but take all and try them all, you never know, rider weight makes a difference.

Hightower is correct. A 15/40 should get the job done but it will all depend upon rider weight. Good Luck and keep us posted.

I run 16/40 with second gear starts, Bomberboy pulls 17/40 second gear starts. Try to pull the highest gear you can.
