How long did you wait till you got the wife an atv? My wife loves my Rancher and Im trying to figure out how to get another atv of course buying another requires buying trailer and building a storage area..

 

If she likes to ride then get one as soon as you can to keep her happy

 

She got hers first since she had trouble riding a dirt bike. Once I started playing on it, it took me about 3 months to sell the dirt bike and get another quad.

How do you haul yours now? If you have an 8' bed, you can get a 2' extension beyond the area when your tailgate is down to carry a 2nd. You can also get one that mounts into a class III or Class IV receiver for hauling the second ATV.

I rode for about 5 years before we got a quad just for her. However, prior to that she went on a couple of rides with me and rode my sons TRX90. We also borrowed a friends Recon for a two week ATV vacation.

I say, unless you just flat can't afford it, do all you can to get her her own ATV to ride. How many couples can do something together that both really enjoy? Definately money well spent.

Be real careful, though. She can end up having more quads than you. Thats the way it is at my house.

 

It only took about two weeks for my wife to get the bug. We bought an Eton 40 for our son, she got the itch soon after that. We got my YFZ 450 at the same time as her raptor. Sold the Raptor, two months later she has an 88' 250R[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

Don't do it , you will be wasting your money. Females will ride these things for about 2 months and then it is over.....

 

Buy her one once the romance is over. That is: when it doesn't feel good to have her on the back of your quad with you.

Then buy her a new quad and send her the other direction.

We have a trailer that hauls 7 quads and it is a double decker.

I guess you got a bad one. Mine has 3 quads and they are hers. I work on them, but she knows what they need. The 3rd quad was in the garage before I knew she went to the bike shop. It is a polaris Predator, and its a little slow for the dunes. She is dumping it for a 700R.
