Default What will replace the Blaster?

Believe it or not, were only about 4 months away from Yamaha rolling out the 07 models. We already know that both the Banshee and Blaster are being retired, but are there any rumors on what will be replacing the blaster?

The 250 sport class has gotten pretty competitive lately. Suzuki's Z250 absolutely rips, and Honda's 250EX has a nifty semi-manual clutch now, so I was wondering if there are any indicators that Yamaha will be one-upping them both with a new four stroke 250?

Some guys on here are saying it may get a TTR powered 4 stroke, and others say it will just have a Bruin 250 but we will just have to wait and see if they even keep it in the line up.

ya know its funny, i see huge 18 wheelers go by in the city, putting out so much smoke, 1 truck can produce more than 30 2 stroke dirt bikes.... so yea its really helping by cutting down SMALL engine population.. good idea people

I guess it comes down to the purpose behinds those emmissions. I'd say a Jet plane produces more toxins than a semi, but it's a convenience thing.

The big Semi's haul things that people need to live (groceries for food, lumber for building, clothes for wearing). Your 2-stroke quad doesn't really do anything useful for the general population other than providing you with some entertainment/recreation value.

I'm all for recreational riding .. and 2-strokes are my favourite for fun-factor, and you can't beat the smell!! But just ask yourself .. what if the doom-cryers are right about the effects on the evironment? Ok, maybe this won't affect us, but what about our kids and our kids' kids??

My .02 ;-)
