is the bolt loose at the bottom of the steering stem? where the bar goes down at the bottem there is a bolt maybe that is loose, check your wheel bairings and it might be your a-arm bushings but i doubt that.

Roads as in paved roads? If you're running off-road tires on a paved road at those speeds I wouldn't expect it to be stable. Even at low speeds handling on pavement is erratic.

Likek 89Quadracer pointed out, on hard surfaced roads you are going to have poor handling and a fair amount of vibration through the bars. If you are experiencing a wobble though, there is something wrong in your front end/steering system. It could be something as simple as a bent rim or worn out tie rod ends. I have heard tire slime can cause problems at higher speeds, don't know how true it is though as I don't run the stuff. Any worn out items (have excessive play in them)in the steering should get replaced. Checking the wheel bearings is sound advice also.

I've currently got the same problem as you. Here's what I've found:

Running on paved roads isn't the problem. I've done it with plenty of quads at high speeds (including other LT250's and LT500's) and they don't do that. But my 250 quadracer currently has the same problem you're describing. There are two reasons this can happen that I've found. Severly unbalanced tires (usually from dried up fix a flat stuff such as Slime inside that settled on one side), or a problem with the brakes. If a front disk is warped, or if one of your calipers doesn't let off enough that's probably the problem. At slow speeds, it's not noticeable. At high speeds around 4-5th gear, I can barely hang on and I can actually see one of my front tires jumping up and down a little bit. Check to see if you notice that. The first and easiest thing to try is swapping out a different set of front tires. If that doesn't help, check the brakes. I found one of my front calipers isn't backing off like it should, I just haven't had time to fix it yet.

The problems with the lower steering stem bushing you mentioned will affect the handling by creating too much play, but it shouldn't cause vibration like you're describing.
