Default Outlander 400 questions, up for anyone.

Hey guys, I have an Outlander HO 400 supplied to me for work and I have a couple quick questions for ya.

Would it be possible to run two 6" baja style headlights without adding anything extra or hurting anything? (The light really lacks at night).

Also, anyone know of aftermarket fender flares? Damn tires stick out too much.

One more! Has anyone had a lot of problems with blowing fuses?

Thanks a lot.

I can't answer your question about the lights because it depends on how many watts they will use
but it may put a drain on the battery. Bombardier makes a fender flair kit, it's about $120.00
but have seen them cheaper on Ebay.

FYI, never blown a fuse

Fender extensions can be found at Parker Yamaha, around $100.00 bucks.

As far as the fuses go, check all of your wire connections as well as the grounds. Especially the one from you battery.

More lights are no problem. I'd wait until you figured out your fuse problem first.

Lots of information on Outlander 400's at the atvfrontier.com bombardier forum.

Good luck.

Yeah, I'm taking it in for service at the expense of the company.

The Outlanders have some of the best power available for lighting. You can go as high as 400 watts max, that’s what the alternator puts out. I would play it safe and only go as high as 375 watts total with everything running. Sounds like you have a nice job(getting paid to ride).
