is that a good deal for this 400ex it is red and in good cond. it has aron bros steering stem, steering stableizer, renthal handle bars, works connection clutch perch, full PRM skid plates with PRM bumper, white bros slip on, nacs racing parking break block off, AC nerf bars, also comes with 22" spider track tires. changed oil.....is there anything wrong with the 1999 400ex and am i better off going with a stock 2003 for 2800

Which one looks to be in better shape, personally I'd always go with the new one, plus it's stock so it's prolly never been raced, ridden hard, and thrown around.

Both are really good deals...Atvrider has a really good point bout the 03 and it being stock so therefore u know it wasnt really ridin as hard as the one with mods. Also u can but on the parts that you want instead of gettin it all done up. Id say for $400 difference the 2003 is def the better deal out of them.

sounds alittle high to me.. unless ur at a dealership... i gave 2,000 for mine, but i got a hell of a deal off a private seller, 2001 real nice shape, pretty much stock cept nerfs when i got it last year

For the 400ex from 1999-2004, it mostly depends on the riding time on the quad. I think you are getting a fair deal given the aftermarket add-ons. The steering stabilizers aren't cheap.

Go with the modded one, for whats done to it that is a steal. Just because its modded doesnt mean its abused, all my stuff is modded aswell but there hardly used and deff not abused. Some people just want there stuff hopped up for bragging rights. If the engine sounds strong without eccessive noise and runs strong, then i would say check everything over real good and go for it, because you'll have alot of money in one trying to those modds yourself. Just my opinion though. By the way a good freind of mine just sold a 99' 400ex bone stock in great shape for $2300
