Default jetting for an 04 ds

I put a pro circuit t4 pipe on my ds. The dealership mechanic told me that I didn't need to rejet it because the factory jets were fine. I also want to know if a k&n is worth the money. I am still running the stock filter.

I run Uni, but any high flow filter is going to make that pipe do what it is supposed to do.....make power.....then you will need to re-jet....do a search on jetting and you should find more info than you could ever remember....

Lean runs Mean, not much help to you when the piston is melted. You will never damage a motor with too much fuel, you can with not enough. At sea level with a pipe and filter you should be around 170/175 and that has been proven on dyno's with A/F meters, you cant argue with them. If you have the jet at home, spend the 15min it takes to change the mainjet over and give her a try !!!!

you should prob jet up to around a 170 mikuni......you cant really tell...i can run a 165( stock) 172.5 and a 177.5 and can barely tell the diff between them all but the 172.5 i can tell has a tiny bit more power and does run better...its hard to tell but if you jetted up you would most likely notice a little bit more power.

Mine always ran rich even with a hmf and k-n.After talking to others .I ended up running a 160 main.Thats less than the stock which is a 165.Every quad is different. So jetting for
the quad is neccessary.Try going bigger and checking your plugs,If they are black and wet
go down.Mine are tan and dry.
