Happy Easter everyone!! I was just wondering if anyone could predict the outcome of a future race I know I am going to have to have with a buddy of mine? He has a 05 Honda Rincon 650 and I have the beautiful and amazing 06 H1. He has been on my case since I have picked it up and I am putting him off till I have it broke in good. I have always been under the understanding that Cats are not really known for their top end but more for their low end torque, I know he won't pull as much that is a cinch.

 

my guess i you will beet him to 30mph then he may past you towards the end.

 

And if he does pass you up, ask him to hook the two together and have a pull off. Because I know you have more power to ground than he does, and then you can say its a "UTILITY", not a sport quad for drag racing!

i just saw the race between all the 650's in an atv magazine. of course now i cant remember which one won. im thinking the rincon won between the two. the h1 was faster off the start but didnt top out very fast. infact from 0-20 it had the faster time. from 0-50 the arctic cat didnt even have a time. the v twin didnt either but all other brands did. i know they will at least get to 50mph so idont know why they didnt score. i think the magazine was 'atvsport'. in a tug a war, i dont think either bike will move on dirt. i hooked my 2002 500 up to a brute force 750(his locker was on,and i do not have one) and we both had 27 inch 589's. we went know where. i did get alot of dirt thrown on me though. good times ! good luck in the race.

 

I dont really believe that. I beat a 700sp through the entire race, and a kodiak, and a 650BF. I know i can hit 50 in a hurry. And it keeps going until about 70mph

 

it was ATVMAG and the rincon wasnt part of the competition. the h1 had the fastest time to 20mph the brute 650 second and brp 650 third after 30 the brp smoked them all.

No im not, I just went and got the new BRP Outlander 650 efi Max last friday. I will be taking it out saturday to break it in. I considered the cat obviously since owning one but I wont buy another cat until that start making them narrower. there two wide for the tight Michigan trails and with the trv being longer it would be hell in the trails trying to turn it. I also like the brp better because it has all the new technology compared to the cat. i drove it around my yard and damn that thing is fast. its only a 650 but it sure feels faster than the poo poo 800.

If i really like the brp after this year I may get rid of my cat 500m and get me another outlander
