Default Rancher taps after valve adjustment

Could someone tell me if it is normal to hear a tap after valve adjustment? I just got my wifes machine back and it makes a tapping noise.

I would say its normal I adjusted mine at the first service @100 miles and about 17 hrs. checked them twice to make sure and I still heard the slight valve noise when i was done. I read somewhere else that on this style of overhead valve/pushrod engine some valve train noise is normal. I have ridden my 05 350 es 4x4 hard over the past 9 months and its still running strong as ever even with a little noise.

the tap never goes away, and with some bikes after doing the adjustment, 20 minutes into the ridding the tapping resumes back to what it was before the tune up

Very common for the honda's. Just like it's common for a polaris predator to have a rod knock sound.
