Any of remember the old www.400ex.com website ??? It used to be a really good site with a bunch of stuff like a forum etc.... Now its more like a personal page. Anyway, I dont know if you guys remember but the guy who had that site before had a really good plastic setup on his 400ex. It was like white racing fenders with no head light. I want that setup !!!! Was it just regular MAIER plastics or was it something different ???

Hey 2k400ex! I just visited your website niiice! Under www.quad It was the 4th or 5th one. If I order MAIER racing fenders for a 400ex, will it have a place for the headlights(which I want to get rid of)???? If there is a spot for headlights that means I have to order 250r racing front fenders. Would they fit perfectly or would I have to modfy the mounts or something like that.????

I have both sets of plastic for my 400ex. The Maier rear for the 400ex is the same (as in only 1) However, the front race version looks just like 250r race plastic. To be extremely technical, the mini fenders are a little different, but a little cutting and sanding to straighten out the front, and it looks like a 250r. The guy before had non modified racing plastic on his. It comes with no headlight provision and it is one piece instead of 3 like stock. The stock front Maier plastic looks exactly like 400ex plastic. You have to put the black factory sides on and put in the black headlight assembly and mount the key and neutral light. The headlight assembly is sort of a pain to install, but once you get it snapped in right, it is exactly the same. Hope it helps.
