700 Lonestar a arms
#1
A buddy of mine wrecked my a arms and I figure I might as well go +2 so I'm looking at lonestar. They offer three different types, Rec, Race, and Long Travel. I'm more of a dune guy than anything. Which would be best? Anyone else have lonestars on a 700?

Rec and race use stock length shocks. Race is just a more gusseted version of the rec. Long travel spaces the shock mount out and lower on the arm to accomodate a longer shock.
If your not aggressive, get the rec arms.

In the interest of doing this on a budget, you CAN run the stock shocks on the rec or race arms. You will bottom out and sway alot, due to the stock shocks being undervalved and undersprung for the leverage of the wider arms.
I hear good things about Elka, Works, TCS, PEP. You dont have to get the most expensive shock. The basic shock with the right eye to eye length, valving and springs will set you right. Having adjustment is nice, but it costs you.
For me, im in the market for some wider arms as well, and im studying all the different shock options before I buy.
