Default First impressions of Renegade from the other guys

I posted the Bombardier ATV name switch and also mentioned the 800 Renegade over at the Kawieriders KFX700 V-Force/KFX400 forum to see what the responses would be like, they are a great group of people and I have found them to be very knowledgeable and unbiased when asked about there thoughts about other machines. I figured there would be some positive and negative feedback about the Renegade, what I didn’t expect was that it would be almost totally positive, I don’t think there is any question that this will fill a niche in the ATV market. There were several that commented that this was the type of machine they were looking for when they bought their KFX700’s. I feel the same way; my KFX will be for sale if the Renegade lives up to the hype. Of course you couldn’t get me to part with my DS650 unless it was for a DS800, we can only hope.

It does look very impressive so far. Like you said, if they prove to be as well designed/built as their current products, there will be alot of guys looking to sell their current ride to get one. A DS800 would be insano!

Yes, it does look like a great quad. I see Scrambler owners all over weeping at the sudden obsolescence. BRP, Bombardier, Can-Am, whatever they want to call themselves, those crazy Canadiens have some serious kahunas to be offering those quads. I kind of like the looks of the new 500 twin sport ute also...

The only down fall wil be if the price is near the $9000 mark. With the Outty 800 going for $8700 it could be there. It has better shocks, tires and wheels. I hope it's more in the $8000 range.

Isn't the XT over $9000?

Thanks for the kind words about kawieriders RotaxsRok.. Were not to proud to admit when another manufacturer has come out with what could potentially be a V force slayer. I myself would probably trade in my V for a Renegade if I didn't just drop some serious change on my motor. Take care guys, It looks like you have a winner on your hands.

Does anyone know the MSRP of the Renegade and the Outlander 500? Can't seem to find a price anywhere and most dealers aren't open today <sigh>. Guess I'll go over to the local guy here tomorrow, they are pretty small so probably won't have one for a long time.

The guy over on atvfrontier.com who seems to be involved with a dealership said they would begin shipping dealers demo's etc. next week. The changes are mostly cosmetic so I can't see there being a supply problem, then again the Outi 650 was announced in Nov. but they have just arrived in dealers.

The Renegade will be 9300 USD MSRP available starting in November - December 2006. That means in small dealerships beginning of 2007.

The Outlander 500 will start at 7300 USD MSRP and will be available for early Fall.
