Most people use the White or your stock Blue/Green.

OK, the kit came with an orange and a white spring. The orange will raise you engagment rpm very high. You'll probably hit the rev limiter about 40mph also with the orange. So this leaves you with the white spring or your stock spring. The white spring is comparable to the polaris white spring. It will also raise your engagement rpm, but not nearly the degree of the orange. You will have a higher engagement with the white, which will give you a stronger take off, through mid range. You will be able to spin the tires easier, as well wheelie. I personally prefer the stock spring. I don't like having to get the rpms up that high before engagement. The white spring is very aggrivating if you ride technical trails. When in high range, you'll have to go faster than normal to keep the rpms up enough to keep the tires rolling. If it's a technical trail that requires slower speeds, but not slow enough for low range it's VERY annoying! With the HC kit and the stock primary spring, you'll engage right off idle. You'll have a pulling beast, and your performance will still increase. Try them both and let us know.....

Never heard of the belt and/or sheave wearing. HC directs you to use the stock spring on their website. Anyway, I tried the epi maroon spring for awhile, however, I have since switched back to the stock blue. I prefer the lowest engagement, as opposed to the higher and jerking engagement. The epi marron is in between the stock blue and the hc white. You kinda get the best of both worlds. Lower engagement, but enough bang to turn larger tires. I run stock size tires, so it wasn't beneficial. I really like the lower engagement, and it was my deciding factor.

What rpm does your clutch engage at now, with the stock setup?

Stock spring should be more around 1200rpms. With the white spring you'll engage around 2000rpms and the orange closer to 3000rpms. This should explain the difficulty in keeping the rpms up enough to keep the tires rolling that I was complaining about with the hc springs. Makes it difficult on trials that require slower speeds, but not quite low range.
