Question about Raptor Oil Line O Ring
#1
I have a 02 Raptor I just bought and it has a small oil leak. I went ahead and got the oil return line off the motor(it has 2 allen head bolts that hold it down. Its the line right above the sprocket. Anyways does anyone know if the O ring is supposed to fit somewhat loose or if its possible it will leak oil from there? This is step 1 in finding the leak as I believe it may be leaking from that line or where the cover bolts on. Also should I order a new one from Yamaha or could I get by with going to my local parts store to replace it with another "similar" O ring?

Well after going to all the auto parts stores I got one that fits a little looser than the one it had on there and then a thicker one that is the same size. I guess I'm going to use the thicker one and see if the oil leak stops.

Well I did search thru those and none of them had the information I was looking for. I replaced that O ring for the oil line and it kept leaking. So I took the starter cover(is it called that)? and the flywheel cover? and put a new O ring on the starter and put new gaskets in and (knock on wood) I have noticed 1 drop of oil drop down. But I think that was from all the oil thats on the skid plate. So I think Ive fixed it but Ill update with more info. Thanks guys.
