Why are the 450's faster or just ase fast as the raptor when the cc,s are so differant?

 

i used to think that because the raptor has 210cc advantage it would be faster. but the yfz engine res higher and puts out more Hp and are lighter.the 450 engine is more race tuned when compared to the raptor,as people say in comparrsion the raptor's engine is slughish, relying on sheer displacement to move along. and its true, its just a big engine, which has the potential to put out alot more torque and energy. but a yfz is only faster acceleration, when you reach the top end of 3rd gear on a raptor, you shoudl be starting to pull along side the 450........eventually passing it. but its just down to weight and the torque and Hp from that thorough bred engine lol...........wel thats what i have come to believe

 

I agree with that guy....the yfz comes racing right after you buy it and the raptor is completely detune. The raptor can have crazy horsepower if you put money in it

 

So what would you have to do to the raptor engine to spank a 450?Im talking minimum and least expensive.Would a pipe ,kand n filter,jetting and a cam do it?or would you need a high comp.piston too?

 

Only a pipe,intake and jet will make you beat those 450. And put a bigger front sprocket on the front to gear it higher cos it as so much torque its worth it.
