Default Please HELP! Are there any special maintenance or parts you need for the sand dunes?

HI Ive been going to silver lake since i was little but this is my first year having a Quad. I have a yamaha blaster and my husband has a banshee. We were wondering if there are any special parts or maintenance you need for the dunes. Some people have told us you don't have to do anything and some have told us we need to buy certain parts to protect our machines from the sand. We've gone to silver lake a few times so far and were going again on memorial day weekend and we don't want to break down. Anyone please help Thanks Heather

Just stick to the basics. Clean air filter(s), change oil, wash, lube chain and give it a good once over to make sure nothing is loose or broken then go for it.

Bring the more popular tools for each machine incase something does go to heck and if your machines are newer, u dont have to really worry. But bring basice stuff like spark plugs, oil, gas. Before u leave clean 'em, check 'em, and have at it.
