air filters for the ds
#3
I have given up on the K&N filters, yes they flow air but on my 2 strokes and checking the DS I can see very fine dust can get through even with an outer wrap, I went back to a 2 stage foam filter,
The sand I ride in with an open air boxe is like sending emery cloth through the motor, and with the nikisel coating on the DS cylinder and dont want to be recoating every other year.
pluse re ringing a LT500 is a pain in the but also.
My 25 cents worth.

I run the no toil, I have had it on for a year with no issues. I noticed better change from the factory but not a whole lot. Im sure it probably makes a bigger difference on higher modded motors. I'm only running a HPR endcap and no toil filter for mods, otherwise bone stock.
