'05 Raptor 350...is this bike any good?

Id say its ok for a begining rider of the right age. It will get them where they want to go, but not overwhelm them.
Keep the oil and filter changed. Keep the air cleaner clean, valves adjusted, chain lubed and adjusted, and you ought to do well.

i have one. and i really do love it. it can do basically everything i want it to do.
Nothing ever broke on the bike by itself, only on my behalf of flipping it or rolling it...but your bound to break something then.
the only thing i can tell you that is bad is the Parking break. just take it off right away and save yourself the trouble. you can tighten it and it will work for about two weeks before it loosens up again and doesnt work anymore. so if you want to keep tightening it everytime before you go riding more power to ya.
o yea and the tires are alright but once you start getting on rights and beating on them, they really wear down fast.
theres probally some other things but it is really late(for me) so im kinda out of it right now. if you have anymore questions feel free to p/m me or just ask in the thread

I have the Warrior, same thing as the Raptor (give or take a few inches). It is a great bike, and if you maintain it properly, it will last a long time. Not the biggest, strongest bike out there, but it is fun to ride.

I've heard nothing but good things about them. I'm actually interested in buying one too.

I also have a warrior that Ive rode for the last 2 years before getting a Raptor 700r and its a great machine. Yamaha staid with the same engine when redesigned to the Raptor 350 mainly because it had been so dependable. They are great trail machines and while not the fastest thing out there that isnt always a bad thing with kids lol

Got an 06 Raptor 350 here, I really love it, it will take pretty much anything that you can throw at it. Hills, mud, water, sand, whoops, everything.

350 Raptor is a pretty good choice for a youngster. They take a beating, there are a ton of upgrades available, and they have a decent top speed if your riding includes any fire roads or the like. While it isn't at 400class levels of performance, I don't think many teenagers would mind all that much.
