I alread read on the official web site of Yamaha that it is the end of the era for both the banshee and the blaster.
So anything coming in thier place in 2007 or 2008?
Any inside information of any type will be appreciated.
BTW, what is the official web site for Yamaha now, i can't get to it now.

epa rules dont say they CANT make 2 strokes but new 2 strokeshave to comply with tighter emissions regulations. i think the cr125/250rs etc are alowed to still be produced b/c they are 'for closed competition courses only'...some kinda label loophole??....why not label the banshee and blaster this way?
envirude makes new 2stroke boat engines that are awesome and have less emissions than the 4 stroke counterparts. but for yamaha to adapt this tech to thee 2 bikes- they either dont care to do it or have other plans...
yamaha always has a trick or 2 up their sleeves...something will replace the blaster...the banshee, its a legend that they will let ride off into the sunset. they could make a new improved banshee with an engine derived from the R6..hmmmmmm. that would rock/shock the atv world.... but i doubt they will, though.
i hope whatever new things they make they dont call them raptor "fill in the number".

I was looking on the Canadian Yamaha web site and they still have both the Banshee and the Blaster. Sorry for reviving an old thread, maybie its been mentioned already, but i haven't been here in a year or two and couldnt find anything on it. I thought you banshee fans would be putting up more of a fuss. Guess the yfz winning everyones hearts or maybie its just that new beast of a raptor...
