YFZ 450 Vs. Raptor 700R

Both will do great and is probally a toss up on which is better depending on who you talk to. Your best bet is to ride
both and see which feels more comfortable to you. Each offers there own advantages and disadvantages so in the
end the feel to you should be very important.

Fuel injection and reverse sealed my decision. I don't race, but my raptor keeps up with all the 450 owners I ride with, and mine is stock, running against piped 450's. I run dunes and trails, I've only widened it out for stability and added tusk nerf bars.

How do they both do against each other with the same mods in 300ft. drag races? BTW this question is not to start a keyboard war. I am just looking for some honest answers. I have not got to see any Raptor 700 around were I live race yet.

I have raced a 700 on my 06 YFZ 450, we were both piped and jetted and I can tell you that the YFZ is much quicker. Now im not so sure about top speed but until the 450 reaches its top speed its ahead all the way, I will even go so far as to say a stock 450 will out run a piped and jetted 700 in 300 ft but thats pure speculation. I like the Raptor 700 and have rode one quite a bit, but its does not have the quickness of the 450. Im sure you could put a few $$ in the 700 to make it just as quick though. Guys this is an honest no bs awnser, Im always hearing about how a Raptor or Predator has smoked a 450 and that they are not as fast as the " 450 owners think " but they are. Also consider that im just talking about a piped and jetted, maybe no lid quad, not a quad ( or any quad for that matter ) with 5,000 bucks in mods. I know a lot of you 700 owners are going to disagree with me on this but thats what makes this fun !!

I have a yfz450 piped, filtered, cam mod.... as far as speed it is really close to a piped, filtered, programmed 700. Neck in Neck at 300ft and the Raptor pulls ahead in 600. I will say the 700 has a much better ride if you are looking for a trail bike. The 450 is great though, just a little stiff for trail riding.
