What exactly does a rev kit do? Is it like a roost boost on a 2 stroke?

Think I just answered my own question....Is it for changing the rev limit?

The rev-box moves the rev-limit up or completely removes it, and some are supposed to advance the timing too. I had one from White Bros. and something happened to it, that a few others here have had the same promlem with. So, at the moment i don't have one, but i sure do need one. After i did all my mods on my bike, i was constantly hitting the rev-limiter in every gear without the rev-box. I wouldn't recommend one unless you are hitting your rev-limiter all the time. They do nothing to increase power. Don't get the White Bros. one though, try CT, TC, or maybe a XR250 cdi box.

Try using a cdi box from a Honda XR400r, it's the same thing as White Bros, and it only costs around $89 compared to $129 for the WB one.

The cdi you have to get from honda is off of the XR250 not the XR400.
