jetting how to......

Default jetting how to......

so i have a 2001 ds with a procircuit slip on.....it has a 180 main jet that came with it when i bought it.....is that a good jet to go with....i dont want to lean her out to much.....whats everyone else go with.....i know elevation has some to do with it.....im in maine....not that high up

I dont know for sure but I can tell you your elevation is only 142 feet. So, you are looking for jetting at Sea Level. Hopefully someone will chime in.

If it's a Mikuni jet a 180 sounds like plenty.

Well....im at 2500 feet....I run a 172.5 mikuni and im fully opened up as far as exhaust and filter go and my plugs are a super nice tan color and she runs perfect. So since you are at sea level i would say a 180 sounds good since i was running a 177.5 main in the cold winter. If you wanted to be certian you could always check your plugs......
