700R pipe?Need some help.

I put a my GYTR head pipe and GYTR muffler on today. I also took off the lid and put a GYTR air filter and adapter on it. Do I need to have it reprogramed or anything? Seems to run OK.It hits hard in the mid RPM"S now.. Has a dead spot down low,I mean really low, just off of idle. I'm guess that because of lack of fuel. Plans are for a EFI controller next.
BTW. This is the third bike I've put a pipe on.Should have learned by now that the new pipe will smoke some when you first start them. I still freak out and start going crazy like something is going to blow up

I'm going to play it safe and not run the 700R until I get the EFI controller. I just want to know how the EFI systems works. What does the senors measure, etc, etc. I know air mass and temps, is that it? I have more air flow going in and out of the quad so I need more fuel. Less fuel shouldn't hurt the bike.Might run alittle bit hotter. If something is wrong a moron light will tell me. The instructions I got from Yamaha told me how to install the parts, didn't say to re-map or anthing else. If I smoke the motor I guess its they're fault. It won't happen, but OWELL!!

I bought mine back in September, when it was advertised that the EFI would compensate for aftermarket exhaust, and pulling the lid off the box. I put an intake on without the lid, and a custom slip on. I noticed a little bit of power increase, not much, and the idle was lopey, like as if it had a cam. I checked the spark plug and it was snow white, indicating a lean condition.
I then installed a Dynojet Power Commander, and a Trinity complete exhaust. At the time, there was no map for the Trinity setup, so I used the Big Gun map. IT was better, and I was starting to get some color to the plug. Then they came out with the Trinity map, and it runs bitchen now!
Over time, running to lean can make the bike run hot to the point where you blow a hole in the piston.
Check Ebay for some good deals on a programmer.
