i want to turn my LT-R450 in to a sand drager ya'll got any ideas as far as gears, and tires, or mods..........

 

First of all you'll need some power, and so far I'm not seeing how to make one of those run. 8 paddle haulers on 8" rims is your starting point for tires.

funny they are the fastest things out there right now for the 450s buddy, no matter what you do to a suzuki the honda will smoke it with the same work bottom line

I'm actually pretty impressed with my friend's 450 suzuki.All he's done is remove the air box lid,removed the silencer baffle,and installed a cherry bomb.It really woke it up.

For dirt drags,I'd suggest pro wedge 2's.You will probably have to put a one tooth smaller sprocket for the front.Yes,there is some very fast hondas and YFZ's that will probably beat ya.But look how far they have come with them.Just give them time,and you will probably have a huge list of parts to choose from too.

 

how did you like those paddles?? that sand down there is super fine!!! i spin like crazy with paddles.how are you doing compared to yfz's and 450rs? dont worry about jay being right there by you. his just tracks up better on that sandy dirt. id spin 6-7 foot off the start and id catch him. i put him on hard ground were i could get a bite and i beat him. in the sand i'll smoke him. he just has a advantage on that sandy dirt. i need to come race you one day and see how i fare, im trying not to drag anymore with mine, you tear to much crap up. look at all are friends. thats why i have my shee, i rode it this weekend and its quik but it sounds like a crank bearing is going out.

 

we had a drag race locally, and it seemed like YFZ's gave the 450r's a pounding. Even the Athena 480r couldnt keep up with a the 478 ice cube yfz's on 300 feet
