Do raptor 350 feel sporty
#2
Yes to some extent. They dont have that much torque but they are wheele machines if you learn how to pop your clutch. I would however find a 350 warrior. They are much faster and have a bit more torque. I was dissapointed in yamahas decision to discontinue the warrior. The 350 raptor seems like it has a govenor or something restricting it from hitting its top speeds.

He the 350 raptor feels like a tank...... jusk kidding there a nice quad if you want somthing small for kids or light rideing. and by the way the warrior and raptor are like 99% the same and the raptor is a tad faster because its liter and pulling a bit more HP through some addon the put in but as for that its the same engine.

Compared to a newer design, like a z400, the 350 feels heavy and more solid, the newer bikes feel light, and kinda squirrely and unpredictable. The actual dry weights aren't that different, the 350 just feels heavier due to it's design and weight balance. A warrior really does feel like a tank, as far as sport quads go, and when yamaha did the redesign to go between the warrior and raptor they did make the machine 25 lbs lighter, and feel lighter, but it still feels heavier than a 400/450.

when i am on a 400+lb quad
and i weigh 200lbs...
this thing is fast...
ESPECIALLY for only being a 2 valve rocker arm design that has been around since the 80's

I had a warrior when I was younger. They are not really comprable to a z. They feel heavier because the power to weight ratio. The z doesn't feel squirelly at all. It handles 100 times better. The warrior was originally designed and designated as a sport utility. The warriors reverse can also be a pain. A friend just bought a raptor 350 for his girlfriend, the first thing I asked him about was the reverse. He said it's still a pain.
I haven't ridden a raptor 350, but the warrior was sporty when it came out. But compared to the technology out today, it's not at the top of the list.
