I would have to say a foot for every mph. I'm just guessing though. (Fifty feet)

Keith, assuming you had dry normal road conditions, and newer tread on the tires I am doing the calculations at 50mph and kentic friction co-eff at .7

That formulated out gives me a stopping distance of 119.5 feet. FYI the way I went about it, assumes normal braking (not locked up) and no weight issues. At 60 with weight not calculated I matched FH's site

Let me know if you need more. Good Luck

Just got home from court. What a total waste of time that was. They only gave me 7 days from the arraignment to the trial. I spent everynight digging up case files. And preparing a decent defense. going over photos measuring distances. Learning about how radar really works and how EMF and RFI effect radar. cosign errors. Learning how to cross examine. How to object. enter evidence, I also know now how many of our constitutional rights oregon has taken away from us by decriminalizing traffic offenses (its obscene). I didnt go to bed until 4 this morning working up my defense. If you seen my driving record you would understand why I went to such great lengths. One more ticket and and they were gonna pull my license for 90 days. I get all this together, worked my butt off. Little or no sleep and the Officer doesnt bother to show up, case dismissed! Im a little pissed about........well not really!

If anyone needs help fighting a ticket let me know. I have volumes of info and strategies to beat it! I am still fairly cetain that I would have won even if he did show.

Thanks for the quick answers guys!
