Default Outty 800: Pull start...where is it?

I just noticed that this incredible machine doesn't have a pull start like my Suzukis did. Good thing they dont have a history of dead batteries...or do they?

the 800 doesnt have 1 because of a couple reasons i could think of ... ever try n pull start a 400 when its cold ... kinda hard... n 2 how would it get ne gas cuz it would have to have power to supply any fuel to start it ... just simple things like that

Just tie the pull cord to the back of your buddies quad and have him take off. He might need to be in 4 wheel drive to have enough pull.

pastor - just be sure you carry jumper cables. A lot of guys are installing an extra battery in the rear storage space, hooking it up so it is in parallel with the exterior battery, also exposed pigtails for winter trickle charge. Man, don't get stuck out there without a battery! I just this weekend took a couple of the new flat bungies and wrapped them around the battery and holder since the oem rubber strap has been known to come loose, battery probably busts when it hits the ground.

Kawi...Are you serious about carrying an extra battery??? I have never even considered such a thing...maybe a set of mini-cables (to jump). Anyone heard of any dead batteries on these?

Mine died first ride out,my voltage reg. went bad due to the dealer only tightening the batt. terminals with his fingers, other than that no problems with the machine just all the dealerships service dept. in my area are dumb a$$e$ .I know the polaris 800 does'nt have a pull start either.

I carry an extra battery for 2M / 440 radio and CB radios. That way I do not need to be concerned with overloading my main battery with long use of the radios. To me, it just makes sense as a just in case in the "out back"
