Yamaha I Think I Hate`m!! Would You?

I have an 2005 Kodiak 450. My fuel gauge fell in the tank within the first two weeks of having it. Within two months shattered a cv joint. Within another two months steering ball joint broke. Within another month or two well probably within the third or fourth month of ownership brakes were gone into the rotors. I don't even use them that much since the engine has such good pull down. Then rear wheel bearings and a rear main oil seal. They fixed the oil seal once but would not fix it when it started leaking again. Mind you this I paid for the extended warranty also which did no good they still would not do it. They told me I rode my four wheeler to hard. Whats to hard you bought it to play right? Don't get in mud or water over the middle of the tires. Whats the point of having an ALL TERRAIN VEHICLE if you can't ride it in ALL TERRAINS. I think yamaha is over rated. The bike has been good though I have no complaints about the motor it runs real nice. Oh by the way I have had ny carb rebuilt also. It used too and sometimes still does sputter if you nail it or go any faster than 25mph. But I think I fixed it though I was told to run some injector cleaner through a tank of gas it seemed to do the trick. I just don't think I will ever buy another yamaha due to the qaulity of the machine and or the dealers customer service. I don't like them anymore. You decide. I think the next one I will buy will be Fuel Injected and be 700cc plus. Maybe Artic Cat, Polaris, BRP, or a Kawasaki (If they come out with fuel injection). So what do yall think???

I would be lookin to another dealer too...if I had been treated unfairly from the dealership....you should not have to baby this machine.. They push the warranty till its time for them to payup that could end up biting them in the @ss in the long run....
My kodiak 450 has been **** and in fact they were pushing sales on other quads but I went yammy anyway
I have into yammy's along time... and will continue

every yamaha weve ever had and everyone i have known that has had one they have all been pretty good. they've held up well and took all the riding we gave them without any issues due to engineering. BUT i will say that i prefer to work on a honda for maintenance issues- its a little easier and more thought out to me for some reason...
Having said that though - its possible to get a lemon from any OEM so dont write then off just yet... many many yamahas have been sold and i think you are in the minority of having problems such as these.... im tempted to write GM off after having to replace my tranny in my truck but....thats another story...
you may have just gotten a bad one from an ahole dealer. try another dealer, call yamaha (good luck) and/or get an attorney for extra fire power. a letter from a good attorney will do allot if all your ducks are in a row. do you have all the records of it being at the dealer? when did you buy it? has it been less than a year? and ARE you riding it in a manner NOT reccomended by the owner's manual? b/c they could get you there if you are...lemon laws may apply if you are riding correctly and it has been in the shop X number of times in the year, etc... i know thats how it works for cars, at least in our state. if your lawyer is good enough, they may can use that for ATVs (depending on your state) and will have to replace it if it has been less than a yr of ownership. so if this is true dont delay, call yamaha and get some representation at the same time (or better yet, have your attny get with them fast).
