jetting HELP, fmf,k&n.

i have a bike that needs a little help! stock ds with an fmf slip on and a k&n filter. where to start on jetting? i did the jet kit from k&n but throttle responce sucks. pops and bangs out the intake and the exhaust. idles fine but give it some gas and it dies.

My Yoshi pipe, K&N filter.....im running a 177.5 mikuni main jet, stock pilot jet, air screw 4 turns out, cut snorkle tubes to about 4 inches and she has never ran this good before nice and crisp through the entire power range. Elevation is 2500 feet here...your using a jet kit? so a 177.5 mikuni would be a 189.3 dynojet. Should be flowing about the same with the fmf pipe so the only diff between us would be the elevation.....hope this gets ya somewhere.

I was jetted for no lid with a 185 mikuni main and the needle on the 4th clip... when I went to a removed air box and ported intake I went to a 200 main and needle on the 4th. Both had nice snap off idle, however the no air box setup did not gain any top end.... didn't lose but did not gain.... I knew that going in. Hope that helps a little.
