hey guys it seems like almost everytime I take out my ds 650 the bearings seem to go. I have been riding it for a few months since the last mishappen with the bearings and today took her out for a ride and the rollers had seemed like they welded themselves and a few had fallen out and I was just wondering how often do you guys have to repack your bearings?

IN my 2001 ds I have replace the bearings once in the rear carrier 6500+ miles. And that was after the flood we had in out town cause I had it out in the water every day and just thought it would be a good idea to replace them.

by chance do you have the axle bearing tention cranked right up? I havent replaced mine and have put INSANEEE time into that quad. Bit over 2 years of riding almost everyday...still fine.

yea I had done it and I also had the dealer do it because I thought I was doing something wrong and im just so frustrated with this thing that it might be time to get rid of her and get a king quad.

My DS tore out a set of right side axle bearings at least once a year, and this was with high $ synthetic grease.
Never did figure out why. set chain loose and tight neither helped. I also average well over 2500 miles a year on my quad.
A good trail ride is at least 60 miles.

yea I am guessing that the bearings aren't strong enough for the torque because I ruined my bearing on the right side also its weird.

yes I check it and make sure its all tight everything was still tight but a few rollers in the bearing fell out somehow and i heard grinding when I turned and the rear was binding up so I shut it off and took it apart and found that the bearing was shot.
