Bush and succeded in getting rid of the enviro-***** and anti-2nd amendment administration. Our work is not over. Is it final yet? The latest I had heard was Bush was still ahead, but there were still a few more to be re-counted. Will Gore be able to call for yet another recount? Damn, I sure hope not! This whole ordeal has really put out a bad name for us as Americans, in my views. Gore really set a bad example as a poor loser, should have just accepted it as it was and shut the hell up, went away like a good boy.

As for the NRA deal, just renewed my membership a few months ago, and also just received a promotional deal for an additional 3 years at a big discount, so I signed up for that as well. Can't afford the lifetime membership at this time, but I do have the next four years covered. That should help at least a slight bit.

Hope the future looks to the brighter side of things!

I honestly don't think so....but I know that I Am Tired Of This Crap!!! At first all of this was interesting, now it is just pathetic. FKNA...you're right!!

 

I thought Gore said he would not dispute the outcome of the re-counts. Gore is an Idiot.

 

All this is going to do is hurt Gore. If he tries to run in 2004, people will remember this and hopefully stay clear of him.

 

Before Nov 7th I didn't have much opinion about this man (Gore). However, since then...considering all of his actions, I am starting to HATE the man. Anyone that takes the time to READ the Florida LAWS, reads the BRIEFS filed, read the court rulings, etc. can clearly see what this man is doing. It is utterly disgusting and I wish MORE people would STOP listening to the Spin Doctors on both sides and look up the facts for themselves.

And what's this crap about accepting the certification on Sunday? I see that was yet ANOTHER BLATANT LIE. People may also say it wasn't fair for Harris NOT to extend the deadline for Palm Beach County. Some people don't realize that the canvassing board did NOT count on Thursday, that they lost a morning of counting because the Gore campaign had them in court. They didn't like how they were determining "voter intent". It's amazing how Broward county goes through about 1,500 disputed ballots and comes up with 500+ votes for Gore and in PBC they have more than 8,000 disputed votes and could only come up with a couple hundred additional votes for Gore. Something is definitely wrong with that picture?

EVERY VOTE COUNTS. I'm so sick of hearing that line. It should be EVERY GORE VOTE COUNTS. The Gore campaign fights heavily to get votes counted for Gore, go so far as counting "scratches" on the ballot in Broward county. Yet fights hard to keep other votes from counting, such as the 4,000 absentee ballots in Seminole county.

Let's face it, every county in every state in the USA has "tabulating errors". All these No votes and Under votes that you see in these democratic counties in Florida ALSO occur in ALL OTHER COUNTIES in the USA. Sure our system is flawed. But it's flawed in such a way that it does NOT benefit EITHER party. To count these No votes and Under votes in a select few counties in Florida in essence just disenfranchises the rest of the COUNTRY.

I know I'm rambling a bit here. I'm just pissed and what's currently happening. Don't listen to the Republican rhetoric, don't listen to the Democrat rhetoric. Find out the facts for yourself. www.findlaw.com is a good site to read the laws in question. www.cnn.com is a good site to read the court rulings and the briefs that both sides have filed.

We all know that whoever wins Florida wins the presidency. Bush won the count in Florida on election night. He won a machine recount. He then won another machine recount in select counties. He won the manual recount and even won the dimple ballot manual recount. Just how many counts does one have to have? It appears to me that the Gore campaign wants to keep on counting these ballots in select counties until such time that those pregnant chad give birth, thus giving him the count he so desires.

Here's a brief excerpt from todays CNN.com article that simply states that Gore is the winner by nine votes.

"Campaign aides say Gore won the election by nine votes, based on votes counted but not certified by the state. As the Democrats see it, Gore should have picked up 157 votes from Miami-Dade County and another 215 votes from Palm Beach County. On top of that, Democrats argue that 174 overseas absentee ballots that went to Bush should have been disqualified. When the 372 uncounted Gore votes are added to his certified total and the 174 Bush votes are subtracted from his final count, Gore comes out ahead by nine votes."


Take it any way they can I guess. A whole nine votes. Gimme a break.

 

It's really sad on what lengths the Gore campaign will go to in order to try to convince the American public that Gore is the winner and NOT a whinner and that he's merely going after what he has already won. Lets keep manipulating those numbers until it shows Gore as the winner. Gimme a break.

I do have great faith in our US Supreme Court and can't wait until their ruling. Hopefully then we can put this election behind us and start moving forward once again.
