My 10 and 6 year old children are just learning to ride. I bought them a Raptor 50 a week ago, and though they are having a blast, the bike just doesn't seem to have the power to climb some hills and slopes. We live on 5 acres of farm land with some slopes and hills, is there an after market kit or something to get more power out of this little 50? The reason why I did not go for the 80 or 90cc models was because of the shifting factor. With the automatic shifting of the 50, I thought it would be the safest and easiest way for my kids to enjoy and learn to ride! Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

 

raptor 80 carb, raptor 80 gears, ct racing pipe and intake, and ur son will have enough power for any hiLL!

50 more ummph.

 

Rockymountainatvmc.com has an airfilter for the 50, and motosport.com has a big gun
exhaust system for the raptor 50. Around $300 for both of these mods put together.

atvingnc has it right. Read that long post about getting more power out of the Raptor 50. You will want to cut the slide in the carb and grind the stop on the throttle. After cutting the slide and fixing the throttle stop putting in a new CDI that raises the rev limit and changes the timing curve makes a HUGE difference.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] (RMSTATOR.COM has one for the 50) If you still want more power then jump on the filter, exhaust, take out some of the bearings in the tranny etc. etc. etc.
