proper jets for dynojet kit with K&N
#1
Hi Guys, does anyone know what are the right jets for a KVF360 with a K&N filter and dynojet kit?
It ran great with the stock filter, but with the K&N it's too lean. The dynojet kit didn't say which jets were for the K&N?
Thanks

I would say try the next jet size up in the kit. The dynojet kits come with 4 main jets i think so just look for a bigger jet... usually the kits tell you in most cases to run the biggest jet size in the kit if you are running a pipe and filter, if thats the case you wont be able to go to a bigger main. Try moving the clip on the needle down. Take little steps untill you find the rite air/gas combination. Do plug chops also. Im not a pro at this so if i explained something wrong some one jump in as well.

Thanks Mojo, what are you looking for with the "plug chops" ?
The guys at dynojet don't recommend anything different with the K&N than with the stock filter. But to me it sure feels like it's running lean (very hot suddenly, popping when I let off the throttle).

It sounds like you have leaned it out just a little. With only one cylinder the carb should be fairly accessible and easy to experiment with. Try one and two sizes bigger and see how it runs.
