I had one on my quad for awhile but never used it so took it off to allow mounting a couple of carriers on the rear rack. If I were going to do it again I believe I would mount recievers on the front and rear of the quad and build a mount on the winch so I could use it on either end. A little extra wire and plugins to hook up the winch and you could use the same relay and switch for both mounts. You could also haul the winch in a cargo box to protect it from the elements if you wanted.

Just go with the Warn Multi Mount or the Montana Jacks receiver system. Either one would allow the winch to be moved to which ever end it was needed.
