What is the HP potential of a trx250r motor, including motor mods down to 85-90% reliability of stock? I think I have seen dyno charts up to around 50HP, is that about it?

What about engine part availability? Where/how do people get OEM engine parts? From my Honda dealer, will he look at me funny if I mention a trx250r, is it the engine builders such as trinity or duncan, etc that I would have to get parts from? Is the trx250r motor the same as the current dirt bike motor so that's where the parts come from? Do OEM parts really matter? What about non-OEM?

People who have put a 500cc motor in a trx250r frame have used the current dirt bike motor? What is the HP potential of this setup, including motor mods down to 85-90% reliability of stock? How does one buy a 500cc OEM motor?

What trick parts are available for a trx250r motor such as EFI? Turbo?

Almost all TRX250R OEM parts are still available. There is only a few parts that are discontinued but can still be found used.
