Scrambler 500 Clutch Kit

The big argument is whether you need a green or pink spring. I can't remember which one won the argument. I have to replace my belt "again" and was going to put a new clutch spring in while I was at it. I figure at $20 a whack, why not buy both?

Ok where can i get the springs and if i only get one spring will the the second spring make a difference and if i get both spring will the cluthc kit do more than the springs. and will just the springs make you able to do whilles. thanks

you can get whole kits or springs from:
HPD, RICK RITTER, AAEN PERFORMANCE, ERLANDSON PERFORMANCE, HOT SEAT PERFORMANCE, DALTON INDUSTRIES.......
unfortunately, all these places sell different colored springs that do the same thing. best to just pick one an stick with em. as for my recommendation, ritter will serve you the best. he is top notch when it comes to customer service......

I stick with Dalton stuff for my primary. Their weights are custom made billet, not just re-ground Polaris weights. Their springs are nice too, and Rick can probably tell you which one to run. One real nice upgrade also is to change to a Team Industries, Rapid Reaction Roller Secondary Clutch. This will give your machine engine braking and much better back shift. It was a real nice upgrade for my scrammer and made it come out of corners significantly faster. As for wheelies, i can't tell you what it will do b/c mine is a 2x4 and it was almost impossible to keep grounded on take-off anyway! lol. Unfortunately there are not more scrammer 500 2x4s, only made them for 2 years... Hope that information helps.

For a Scrambler I highly recomend a complete clutch kit unles you are going with a TEAM secondary. The HPD or HotSeat kits for stock machines are real good but you can call Rick Ritter and tell him what you are wanting out of your machine and he can set you up.
