26 inch tires?
#1
Just bought 650 prairie, and got it running right. I'm taking it to colorado elk hunting in oct. I want to get rid of the stock tires. I'm thinking about swaplights. Will going to 26s cause that much power loss? Any advice will help. thanks

Are you keeping stock rims or aftermarket? I have an '05 Brute 750 and I got the 26" Mudlites and ITP C series rims and you can DEFINITELY feel the power loss. I'm going to have to get a CDI to get it back to the stock power with the after market rims and tires.

Thanks for the replies. I think I'm going with 26 swamp lites. But do they only make 26x10x12 for the front? I was looking for 26x9x12. And will the 10" wide front tires fit on my stock front rims and steer ok. I dont really have the $$$$ for new rims yet.

Rehm,
I am in the same boat as you. I just ordered my new swamplites today online. I got the 26", and I was told that they will fit the stock rims. I have a 650i, and I stepped up to the 26" swamplites. I was told the 26" won't hurt any of your components (SP). I hope not. I bought the package unmounted from Traxmotorsports, 26X10X12 and 26X12X12 for 309 delivered. Good luck
